These three words should become our focus in these very precarious times. There are generations to come who will look back at our generation to see how we handled our difficult times. I know it is very hard for many and I know what it means to loose everything and have to depend on food banks and the kindness of strangers.
So I am not saying anything that I have not lived through myself.
I want my grandchildren, and great grandchildren to look back at us with admiration and respect, the way I remember my own Great Grandfather and Grandmother.
Overcoming a stressful storm whether it is financial, or the more literal type, takes time and the words endurance, strength, determination becomes central in maintaining sanity.
Those are words that could be used to define what this country was built on, endurance, strength and determination.
They are powerful words when focused on that can help to bring up in each of us the fortitude and faith we need to live through our storms.
I am not looking to the white house for a long term solution but to my own heart and to my ancestors who helped build this great country.
I am a mutt of sorts; in my blood is the blood of the Choctaw, English, Scottish, and Irish. And my children are even more varied; they have Jewish, French, Russian, and German.
My Great Grandparents and Grandparents laid the roads, and railroads of this country, creating passages for further expansion. We served in the military and there are a few outlaws too. We are the farmers, nurses, laborers, and construction workers. Hard work and faith is the continuing ribbon that runs through us.
We have lost everything to storms, greed and foolishness and still kept that faith to try another day.
When I wonder about the future I can't help but think of all those in the past who lived through so much with so little, they give me hope that if they could do it so can I, so can we.
I have faith that what our country is going through will ultimately be for our own good.
Growth is painful but it is always worth it.
In the future hopefully someone will look back in time and smile proudly and be filled with strength, determination and endurance for another day.
Don't give up no matter the situation and don't give in to fear. True failure is when you quit trying, never quit.
Really focus and meditate on these three words, and just see if you don't feel stronger.
