Christmaslights covering the Christmastree, is one way to bring warmth and sparkle into a living room or family room. By placing the lights both deep within the tree and at the outskirts of its branches, not only provides a 3D effect with a soft glow, the Christmas GE lights that are offered provide perfect accent lighting for homemade ornaments and decorations.
Economically speaking, led light displays are economical than the older style of lights because they are energy efficient. Most homeowners will agree that reducing costs on their Christmas light displays is smart and one way to combat recession.
Hanging a wreath on the front door, accented it with a white or red spotlight is another economical way to distinguish and display your celebration of Christmas. Some homeowners prefer to string the perimeter of their homes with rope lights, and others prefer to use solar powered lights. Whatever your preference, remember to use only outdoor approved lights for the outside of your home.
Whether you like multi-colored lights or plain white, the possibilities for festive decorations abound. In my home, I have multiple nativity scenes that I display throughout our home. I string ropes of silver tinsel and greens together as a background or backdrop to the scene, as it provides a warm accent that emanates upwards, filing the room with an aura of tranquility.
For a tree topper, I alternate between using a star made of led lights or an angel that has one light insider her that glows. These tree topper lights connect to the other string of lights that I use around the tree. I have even been known to use a rope light set to string the stairs, intertwining that with green garland and silver tinsel as well.
Whatever your preference, using LED lights during the holidays makes good economical sense. Christmases past, we have visited Bright Nights at Forest Park, in Springfield, MA. They offer a brilliant display of imagination and the spirit of the season. Displays such as "Never, never land", "Noah's Ark" and the giant "American Flag" delight children and adults alike. During the week, a car load of sightseers costs $15, and on the weekends and holidays, the entrance per care is $18.00. The "Bright Lights at Forest Park, Springfield, MA" starts Wednesday, November 25th at 5:00 pm and will use over 6,000 light bulbs of every color imaginable.
Keith O'Connor of Entertainment news shares "since Bright Night's grand opening in 1995, more than three million visitors have passed through Forest Park in all its holiday spender in some 670,000 cars and businesses". That's a lot of lights! And definitely worth a ride to see them.
