Energy Infused Super Foods to Keep You Bouncing Off the Walls

Sarah Rachel
Do you sometimes feel like your lacking the energy you need to be productive? Would you like to feel energized and ready to do anything day in and day out? As a mother of two boys I need to have a great deal of energy and when I'm not taking proper care of myself my energy goes down hill quick. Our body is like a well oiled machine. If we give our body what it needs we think better, feel better, get sick less, and have more energy. Billions of cells are at work to keep our body working efficiently and it takes about 120 days for our cells to turn over. What this means is that you need to be consistent with healthy changes for 4 months before you will notice a real difference. Consistency is vital with anything you do in life. Foods that are the most nutrient dense are considered to be super foods. In addition to including super foods in your diet you also need to be well rounded by including plenty of other fruits, vegetables, and lean meats or other protein sources. It is also helpful to take extra B-vitamins in addition to a whole food multi-vitamin and mineral supplement daily for maximum results. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of purified water each day. Your cells work much better when your body is well hydrated. Always try to eat whole foods, preferably organic.

Most Energizing Super Foods

1). Almonds. Dr. Mehmet C OZ, Author of You On A Diet, says "almonds are a power packed nutritious snack." Almonds are loaded with healthy fats and metabolism boosting protein. Load up on a handful of delicious almonds each day. This is a must have super food.

2). Eggs. In the past it was said that eggs were bad for you, but the opposite is true. Lately we've been seeing commercials about "the incredible edible egg". Eggs are full of superior amino acids and energizing protein. I love scrambled eggs. Yummy!

3). Spirulina. This super food is probably one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. Just a few tablespoons of spirulina contains the equivalent calcium levels of 3 glasses of milk, and it's loaded with potassium, vitamins E, A, B-12, iron protein, and of course chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is life giving material found inside plants. It works as an internal cleanser and it's so good for you. These vitamins are essential for optimal energy.

4). Cranberries. You can never underestimate the power of cranberries. Include cranberries or 100% pure cranberry juice in your daily diet and you will become much healthier. These super berries contain antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant power. They help to keep the bladder free of bacteria which in turns helps to prevent or eliminate bladder infections. These little berries help you in so many ways.

Ditch Foods with these ingredients

1). High Fructose Corn Syrup- This is in just about everything so be sure to read your labels. You will see it in ketchup, jellies, most other processed foods and some frozen foods. It is a highly addictive artificial chemically made sweetener that can zap your energy. It has also been seen to clog your arteries.

2). White Flour, White Sugar, White Rice or anything processed. These things are all devoid of nutrition because the nutrients have been removed during the manufacturing process.

3). Fast Food- Ditch the golden arches and opt for healthy choices when you're out and about. Choose to eat a sub sandwich with lean meat and veggies loaded on it.

4). Margarine. Instead of eating margarine eat real butter instead. Real butter is so much better for you body as compared to margarine. Margarine has been chemically altered and new studies have revealed its dangers.
