You don't need to spend a lot of money to make the perfect proposal. Many of the best proposal ideas take little or no money, but have a lot of planning involved. This is what is important. You want to take into consideration what your girlfriend will want, and what will make her remember it for the rest of her life. Make it a day she will treasure. You only have one chance to do this right!
Here are 10 different and unique ways to propose that give her lasting memories:
1. For the horse lover - You can rent a knight's armor from a costume shop, and wear it as you ride up to her and offer to be her prince. Present the ring with a princely flair and she'll be yours forever.
2. For the artist - Have an artist paint her portrait with the addition of a box with a diamond in it. When you give her the portrait have the ring ready when she asks about it.
3. For the young at heart - Hire a magician to entertain the two of you as a surprise for her and have the magician make the diamond ring magically appear as a surprise ending of the last trick.
4. For the sports lover - Skip the big scoreboard that you probably can't afford. Instead go to a college or high school event so you can convince the marching band into spelling out the proposal during halftime. Then present the ring after she reads her name.
5. For the chocolate lover - Dip the diamond box in chocolate and put it in the center of a box of chocolates that you give her. She will immediately wonder what the largest piece of candy is.
6. For the computer addicted - Create a web page with her name and proposal on it along with a picture of you holding the ring. Tell her she needs to check a website for you, or surf the Internet together before you type in the address that will surely change her life.
7. For the beach lover - Take her for a surprise picnic on the beach and shell collecting. After you collected the shells spell out "marry me" in large letters.
8. For the literature lover - Mail her a romantic poem from Elizabeth Barrett Browning and include a picture of yourself on one knee with a diamond in her hand. Be there as she gets her mail and be ready to throw open the door and give her the ring when you hear her scream.
9. For the treasure hunter - Arrange a day at a quiet beach building sand castles and digging for shells. Before you go write a love poem on a piece of paper and roll it into a bottle with a cork. Bury it in a well marked spot and then give her a map to find it. Present the diamond after she reads the note.
10. For the puzzle lover - While sitting in your pajamas on a Sunday morning in bed give her an anagram that you made for her to do. Have the anagram work out to say "Will you marry me?"
