Bolton 1 2 Everton
Everton scored a nice away victory against struggling Bolton thanks to a last gasp goal from Lescott. They had taken an early lead from Yakubu bit Nicholas Anelka, who is setting a torrid goal scoring pace this season, tied it up in the 55th and the game looked like a tie all the way before the late heroics.

Fulham 3 3 Tottenham
The disappointing start continues for Spurs who will be kicking themselves for letting the points slip away in this one. It looked like being a comfotable afternoon for them as they opened up a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Kaboul and a cracker from Berbatov. American Clint Dempsey hauled one back for Fulham before Bale restored the two goal lead on the hour mark. Full credit to Fulham though as they continues to battle and got a goal through Smertin before Kamara tied it up in the 90th with a spectacular overhead effort.

Liverpool 6 0 Derby
A game that looked more like a practice match than a competitive tilt as the reds rolled to an easy win. Huge sighs of relief all round as big money signing Torres finally broke his goal duck with 2 in this game. Alonso also hit a double with Babel and Voronin rounding out the scoring.

Middlesbrough 2 0 Birminham
A couple of Boro first half goal were enough to collect all three points in this one. Wheater and Downing were the men on target.

Newcastle 1 0 Wigan
Newcastle's strong start to the season continued with another victory courtesy of a late, late goal by Michael Owen. Wigan played most of the second half with 10 men after Kevin Kilbane was sent off in the 47th.

Reading 0 3 West Ham
The goal scoring woes continue for Reading who have only managed 2 in their first 5 games. To make matters worse for them, Doyle missed a penalty in the second half of this one. Craig Bellamy got the Hammers of to a great start in the 6th minute, and Etherington added a double on the 47th and with the last kick of the ball to rub a little more salt in the wound.

Manchester United 1 0 Sunderland
The second consecutive one goal victory for United who actually deserved more in this game particularly in the second hal where they dominated but were held at bay by a stubborn Sunderland defence and some fine goalkeeping by Scottish International Craig Gordon. The lone goal came from the head of Louis Saha who is finally back from injury and will add some much needed goal scoring prowess for the Red Devils.

Arsenal 3 1 Portsmouth
The young Gunners side continued their fine start with an impressive victory over Pompey. Adebayor (penalty) and Fabregas had given Arsenal a 2 goal lead in the first half but that looked to be in danger when they had Senderos red carded right at the start of the second half but they never missed a beat and Rosicky added a third before Kanu scored a consolation goal against his old club.

Blackburn 1 0 Manchester City
City's bubble looks to have burst as they fell to their second straight 1-0 defeat in an ill-tempered affair that saw a player from either side ejected in the second half. The only game of the game came off the boot of Benny McCarthy. City look to have lapsed into their same difficulties they had last season in getting the ball in the back of the net.

Aston Villa 2 0 Chelsea
In the shock result of the weekend Villa handed Chelsea their first defeat of the season and the blues may have even more problems as star striket Didier Drogba hobbled off with an apparent leg injury. Second half goals from debutante Zat Knight and Agbonlahor sealed the deal for Martin O'Neills men.
