Enjoy Extravagance at the Monte Carlo Poker Room

The Monte Carlo is One of the Best and Softest Poker Room in All of Las Vegas

Before my first ever visit to Las Vegas, one of my best friends advised me on the poker rooms that I had to check out. In his list, my buddy listed the Wynn, the Mirage, the Bellagio, and finally, the Monte Carlo. The former three were slam dunks, but why the Monte Carlo, I wondered. As it turns out, my friend was right. The Monte Carlo is one of the staples of the Las Vegas poker scene and their poker room is one reason to make the trip out to Sin City.

The room at the Monte Carlo is relatively small by Las Vegas standards. Depending on which player you ask, answers could range from calling this room "cozy" to calling this room a "cramped space". It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. The room is nice enough to keep players from feeling as if they are in a small home game. With spectacular décor and technologically advanced amenities, this room succeeds greatly where other small rooms fail. It has the flatscreen televisions that everyone is looking for and the chairs are easy on the back.

The most popular games at the Monte Carlo poker room are the no-limit games, which run at the $1/$2 level and the $2/$5 level. These games are popular in just about every Las Vegas casino, but they always seem to be hopping at the Monte Carlo. No matter what time of day or night, you can probably find a hot game going. The competition at the Monte Carlo is simply average. With excellent drink service, many of the players put their focus more into the cocktails than into the cards being dealt. For a player who can stay sober and keep his wits, this can be a clear advantage.

One of the things that draw people to the Monte Carlo is the fantastic 6:00 AM tournament that runs everyday. For being so early in the morning, the people at the Monte Carlo are extremely excited to run this awesome event. If you only play one tournament in Las Vegas, this would be the one to play. The play, in general, is pretty weak. The $60 buy-in is well worth it for some great play against players who are half asleep and half drunk. Good poker players stand a great chance to cash in this tournament.

The Monte Carlo poker room is a must see Las Vegas attraction. Its fantastic atmosphere, quality play, and awesome cocktail service make for an enjoyable experience. If you love smaller rooms, then this your home. No one does it quite like the Monte Carlo.
