On June 1st and 2nd, Clinton Square will be hosting the 2007 Taste of Syracuse Festival! Over 75 area restaurants, food vendors, artisans, exhibitors, and wineries will be featured. What could be better than 2 days of fun, live music, and food? Free admission!

Among the many features at the 2007 Taste of Syracuse Festival will be a beer sampling area, cooking demonstration, and for the first time on Saturday there will be a Kids Zone in Hanover Square.

The Kids Zone will include puppets, magicians, face painting, balloons and clowns, and even a "Birds of Prey" show.

Among the local restaurants featured at the 2007 Taste of Syracuse Festival will be: Applebee's, Dakota's, Heid's, Dinosaur Barbecue, Spaghetti Warehouse, PJ Dorsey's, and much, much more.

You'll be very satisfied with all the tastes you have to choose from... and you are guaranteed to go home with a full tummy!

Here is a list of some of the foods available for sampling at the 2007 Taste of Syracuse according to a list featured in the Post Standard.

Mini Cinnamon Roll (from Panera Bread) sweet dough with sugar-cinnamon filling topped with white icing

Tortilla Chips & Pico De Gallo (from The Mission Restaurant) chips with a spicy tomato-based dipping sauce

Island Pork Cup (from Bella Domani) Grilled apple and raisin slaw, tossed with pulled pork, in a honey mustard dressing

Corn Bread (from Alto Cinco) fresh jalapenos (!) are folded into corn bread

Bang Bang Shrimp (from Bonefish Grill) crispy shrimp in a creamy, spicy sauce

Falefel Patties with Tahini Sauce (from King David) two small deep fried balls made of highly spiced ground chick-peas with a sauce made of crushed sesame seeds

Antonio's Riggies with vodka Sauce, spring rolls, Triple Lindy Steaker, potato dumpling, and much much more will be available.

The 2007 Taste of Syracuse promises to be a great time for the family... go hungry and leave happy! Even if you don't wish to spend the dollar to sample all these wonderful foods... admission is free and so is almost everything else... the music, the beer sampling, etc.
