Then, take some free gaming lessons to provide just the stress relief you seek. Go ahead, banish your watches, forget about your healthy diet and plan to frivolously spend a few bucks. Yes, Vegas is the place to let go and enjoy yourself.

Las Vegas Strip Hotels-Luxury, Mid-Priced, and Budget-Minded Suggestions

Finding a Las Vegas strip hotel to fit your taste and budget is not a problem. If you are going for luxury and not too worried about the price, consider staying at the Bellagio. Beautiful inside and out, Bellagio offers a variety of options from deluxe rooms to suites to penthouse suites. Costs per night for deluxe rooms range from $149 to $239, depending on the night of the week and the presence/absence of a water view. For suites, cost range is $199 to $550, again, depending on the night and a water view presence/absence. Penthouse suites range from $399 to $1,200 nightly, depending on the night and the number of bedrooms.

If a median-priced Las Vegas strip hotel is what you seek, check out the rates for the lovely Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on Expedia.com. Located at the south end of the famous Las Vegas Strip, the Monte Carlo is rated 3.5 stars out of 5 stars by Expedia raters. Clean and comfortable, their rates are quite reasonable, even for deluxe rooms and weekend nights. Depending on room type and night of the week, you could pay as low as $56 a night or as high as $136 per night.

For budget-conscious Las Vegas travelers, consider staying at Circus Circus located at the northern end of the Las Vegas strip. Pricing as low as $21 nightly during the week and $59 a night on weekends, you can be where the action is and have plenty of money to play with. Although Circus Circus has a lower rating than Monte Carlo's of just under 3 stars out of 5 on Expedia, the price is budget friendly.

Dining Options on Las Vegas Strip

If you really want to top off a night in Las Vegas, try eating at the Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. This is not your ordinary Mexican food! Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger will make sure you have some of the best Mexican food you have ever had. No kidding, don't pass up the opportunity to eat at the Border Grill in Mandalay Bay.

Mid-priced food abounds on the strip in Las Vegas. But there is one place that stands out in terms of food quality--The Rainforest Café in the MGM Casino. Incredible to look at, the food is attractive and tasty. The ambiance is, well, like being in a rainforest. Every 15 or 20 minutes, you will experience the sounds and sights of a tropical rainstorm. You won't be disappointed.

If you are trying to preserve your food budget in Vegas, have dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen located in the Mirage. Offerings include freshly made salads, innovative pizzas, and a range of pasta dishes. With entrees priced at $15 or less, a family of 4 can eat there for under $75.

Best Las Vegas Strip Casinos for Novice Gamblers

For most people, gambling is not something you do every day. Therefore, it is wise to either read about gambling or obtain some instruction on how to gamble sensibly before visiting Las Vegas. Interestingly, most of the major casinos on the strip offer gambling or "gaming" lessons free of charge. It makes good business sense for the casinos to teach their customers how to properly play their games

The Monte Carlo, Planet Hollywood, Imperial Palace, Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace, and the Venetian are just a few strip resorts that offer free gaming lessons. Even if you are not a novice gambler, go ahead and check out some of Vegas' free gaming courses. Plan your gambling limits ahead of time so you won't blow out your bottom line while in Vegas.

Summary

If you are in need of a getaway, consider the Las Vegas strip. With its behemoth strip resorts, incredible food offerings, and gaming opportunities including free lessons, the Las Vegas strip may be just the respite you need.

Great information, especially on the pricing. Every time I see Bellagio I think of Ocean's Eleven and George Clooney!
