of the universe
where the lights pass by my eyes like
shooting stars.
There, the impossible is nothing
and the feeling of weightlessness
would envelop me.
Light and held
all around.
I could venture there
to a place where I'd have no care
in the universe.
I would resist falling back to earth,
my eyes following floating birds,
no wind to fight,
no gravity.
And the warmth that'd dance on my face
would make me regret that final phase
of dreaming of that dreamy place
where everything feels good.
Please tell me I'd find it again,
that my waking would signal no eternal end to bliss.
Say it would be there for the taking,
that I could go when I please.
That I'd only have to close my eyes and see
the whole of the universe before me.
