Children's Restaurants
Not all of the restaurants in Las Vegas cater to adults. There are plenty of options for relaxed dining with your children, ranging from the classic family pizza restaurant to American-styled diners and theme restaurants geared to creating a fun environment for kids. Rainforest Café at the MGM Grand is perhaps the best of these theme restaurants. You will feel as though you are dining in the jungle as you enjoy a meal here.
Animal Attractions
Many children enjoy viewing animals, especially when they are exciting, exotic and living in an environment that is as close as possible to their natural habitat. In Las Vegas, there are many options for such an experience, from ocean habitats to jungle habitats. At the Mirage hotel and casino, in Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, children can check out a dolphin display that includes the dolphins playing in their natural habitat. The MGM Grand has a jungle habitat that features live lions.
Light Shows
According to the A2Z Las Vegas website, The Fremont Street Experience light and sound show is a technological engineering and marvel as well as the only show in the world of its kind. Put on at nearly 100 feet in the air and with more than 2 million lights, this show provides an engaging and exciting experience for people of all ages. Your entire family will have fun watching the lights dance far above your heads.
Arcades
Las Vegas arcades are on a massive and exciting scale. Providing much more than simply video games, these arcades provide something for everyone in your family. Situated on the Las Vegas Strip, in the Showcase Mall, GameWorks is one of the largest and most well-known of the arcades. Featuring more than 250 games, as well as Coca-Cola and M&M shopping experiences, GameWorks offers more than merely pressing buttons on a machine. There is even a rock-climbing wall for those who love adventure and the outdoors.
Amusement Parks
With everything from simulation situations to extreme roller coasters, amusement rides in Las Vegas are just what you would expect from the "Entertainment Capital of the World." For those who fancy themselves daredevils, the New York New York Hotel and Casino features the Manhattan Express Roller Coaster which lives up to their need for excitement. Those who want adventure but are not roller coaster fans, 3-D adventure experiences are available as space flights, haunted graveyards and underwater submarine races.
Other Popular Shows
Las Vegas has earned a solid reputation for its world-class shows. Among the variety of shows featured in Las Vegas, there are many that cater to children. For instance, the Tournament of Kings dinner show at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino offers kids a medieval setting featuring jousting, invading armies, fireworks and eating with your bare hands. Another show worth checking out is Disney's The Lion King which is featured at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. According to the Mandalay's website, this show has welcomed 50 million spectators from all over the world, captivating the crowds with eye-catching costumes, a strong musical score and a touching story based on the 1994 Disney animated film.
