It's A Family Affair on The L Word

As we all know Cybill Shepherd has become a great addition to Showtime's groundbreaking series The L Word, now her daughter has joined the girls of West Hollywood.

Clementine Ford, who like Shepherd, a former model turned promising actress, is now part of this wondrous cast. Ford plays Molly, daughter to newly ousted Phyllis Kroll and the new love interest to our favorite heartbreaker, Shane (Katherine Moening). Much to the surprise of the viewers who saw how she reacted to her mother leaving her father. It is also understandable that mom is not happy about this new situation. Could it be maybe Molly was a lesbian all along and saved face for dad? This is going to make for a great new season come January 6. (1)

A Reality Check for Coolio

Coolio and reality in the same sentence, makes you wonder doesn't it? The rapper who took us on a Fantastic Voyage has now joined Flavor Flav and Brett Michaels on the reality show train.

Coolio & the Gang will premier on the Oxygen network in mid-2008. The premise of the show will be Coolio raising six teenagers on his own while maintaining his rap career (or lack thereof) and launching his clothing line. It seems the question of where are they now will have the answer by way of reality shows. This looks like the vehicle to drive one's career back into the fast lane.

Not much has been said about Coolio in recent years short of a VH1 special or an independent film here and there. But if we survived Flav and Brett, Coolio will be a breeze. Best of luck to him and one can only imagine what direction he's going to go with as far as his clothing line is concerned. It will certainly make for an interesting look. We'll just have to wait and see. (2)

Hogan Doesn't Know Best

It looks like Terry 'Hulk Hogan' Bollea will soon prepare for another match. Only this match will be in the courtroom and his opponent is Linda, his wife of nearly 24 years.

Not much was known about Linda until the hit VH1 reality show, Hogan Knows Best. There was the appearance she made as a background singer on her soon to be ex-husband's 1995 album Hulk Rules but how memorable was that? It is however apparent from the show that Linda is an avid animal lover and has been the 'good cop' to Hogan's 'bad cop' persona. This of course doesn't sit well with his daughter, singer Brooke (she has said recently that her father has loosened up a bit around her 18th birthday).

Linda seeks a share of the marital assets which include homes both on Clearwater Beach and Belleair, Florida where the Hogan family presently live. She also is asking for an unspecified amount of alimony and child support for their son, 17-year-old Nick who was arrested in November and facing charges for reckless driving that resulted in a friend, passenger John Graziano, being severely injured. The Hulkster, who in 2008 will host American Gladiators with boxing champ Laila Ali, says that she has the means to take care of herself as well as their son. He also states that "Nick is old enough to decide which parent he wants to live with". Linda wishes for Nick to live with her and allow visitation, liberal visitation as her petition states.

He does agree that the couple's assets, including the two homes should be divided equally and he plans to continue to cover the family with health insurance. Let us hope that after the air clears they remain friends. There is however a twist...

According to reports, the Graziano family's lawyer believes that this might be an attempt to divide the family's assets from a planned civil suit against the Hogans. (3)
