Environmental Changes Are Warning of Impending Disaster

Degradation of Environment

There is not even a single day when we don't come across the flashing news regarding our beloved environment. Either it be a mere hundred word news article or full page visual alarm, but there has to be pinching something which can remind us of our degrading homeland consisting of so many spheres and innumerable living and non-living species. Land, water and air which accumulate together to give birth to a balanced environment is at the sake of our mercy. It won't be any wonder if tomorrow the world disintegrates into fragments scattering its pieces in the vast universe. Our demeanor is at its worst in the ever growing generation of the earth. Though we are the most educated and literate, our emotions have become dead towards the silent suffering of Nature and even her resistance, occurring now and then, that takes life to pacify her has failed to excite our pulsating veins.

Due to enraging pollution climate is shivering with frequent and drastic changes in its shape and attitude. Seasons which are supposed to be winter have become either rainy or extremely chilly dipping the mercury level below -5 C or even have vanished. Similarly soaring summer, sizzling over 46 C or 47 C and even lasting longer than its estimated period have become common in most of the tropical countries. The rising global warming has extended the duration of summers along with their temperature and even the glaciers seem aggravated. Continuous melting of glaciers have raised the level of rivers and made areas nearby them prone to flood attack taking thousands of lives with a motive of not sparing even animals and birds.

Sea levels have crossed the red marks and have slowly started penetrating the main land through the shore of eminent cities like Mumbai. Countries like U.S.A., India, Japan and Australia along with the victims of tsunami attack have been well exposed to the devastating consequences of such environmental change. Throwing of garbage into the river waters, extensive use of plastic bags, huge emission of venomous gases like chlorofluorocarbon and carbon monoxide from industries and automobiles, chopping of plants and trees, poaching of animals etc have added to the woes of environmental change. Some changes have slow impact while other has instant reactions which the world is bearing from last few years in the form of earthquake, tsunami, land sliding etc.

Its time for the whole world to unite together and take instant initiative to regulate the cause of Nature's change and that should be either by hook or by crook. Definitely it's an uphill task because it will curtail our freedom and add to discomfort as many are due to common man's ignorance. It is in fact some of our daily works which may include even our household errands to add a deadly contribution in the degrading of environment. More over some may accept the radical changes while some may adhere to their routine on restrictions imposed on them as it will hamper much of the daily activities of their life to which they are innocent. It's the need of the hour to realize the potent of the time for each and everyone whether educated, illiterate or uneducated but EACH ONE WILL HAVE TO FATHOM IT. Else the option is open in front of the entire world to choose from- IMPENDING DISASTER ORDECENT LIVING.
