Environmental concerns rise as flood damages continue...

The recent excessive rain and weather emergency in the northeast has left towns and cities in flood and under water. The flood damages are now an environmental concern. Waste and Sewage pipes have burst and has left many towns in the northeast in contamination. Streets have collapse because of bursting pipes and our failed sewage systems, overflowing into homes and business. One example of one of the concern in Freetown Ma. is a large auto-shop completely underwater where oil and chemicals are present. It has now contaminated the near by homes and business. This is one example of the damages and environmental concerns. There are many cases like these.Emergency relief and the national guards has been working hard in the past week and have helped many citizens in aid. When emergency weather condition happen and is out of our control we need to be prepared for future emergency situations like this. Even-though the magnitude of the damages could have been worse, it is evident that our in-fracture can fail when we have no other choice but to deal with emergency weather conditions. We need to assess how our in-fracture is build and what we can do to create a more stable foundation and preparation. Can we rebuild our in-fracture with more stability and in sustainable matters where we can protect our environment, our homes, and cities in the future. Instead of rebuilding on top of failed in-fracture and repeat what we had before, can we introduce a new way of built in construction ? When emergency Weather conditions happen we can prevent it from being catastrophic if perhaps we introduce new, innovative and sustainable ways of protecting our cities. We can improve, prevent and protect our cities and citizens, even more from harmful and consequential matters in the future.
