Environmentalists May Have Finally Found Their Drink in VeeV

Environmentalists may have finally found their drink. VeeV is a 60-proof, eco-friendly, clear spirit that can be enjoyed alone or in mixed drinks.

VeeV may look like vodka, but its taste is much easier on the tongue. With slightly less alcohol, VeeV is perfect when served chilled and neat, or on the rocks. Its taste comes from the açaí berry (pronounced a-sigh-ee), which offers a flavor similar to other dark berries, with just the slightest hint of chocolate. Considered the world's preeminent super fruit, açaí hails from Brazil, where it was made popular by surfers and sports enthusiasts.

If you are serving mixed drinks, consider offering Rainforest on the Rocks. Rainforest on the Rocks is a unique drink combining VeeV, fresh watermelon, fresh mint, lime and agave nectar. Once you muddle four watermelon chunks with mint sprigs and a wedge of lime, add two ounces of VeeV, a bar spoon of agave nectar and ice. Shake well, pour the contents into a Collins glass and fill to the top with soda.

Environmentalists will be happy to learn that the company that produces this sophisticated spirit is also a friend to the environment. VeeV donates $1 from every bottle they sell to Sambazon's Sustainable Açaí Project, which works to protect and replenish the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. VeeV is also the industry's first certified carbon-neutral company. Furthermore, VeeV remains eco-friendly in many of its sales practices. VeeV's sales force drives hybrids and uses soy ink and recycled materials whenever possible.

If you're ordering a bar drink and are concerned that our planet is in peril, consider choosing a label that actually does something to help the problem. Consider choosing VeeV. It's more eco-friendly than vodka, and it tastes a whole heck of a lot better, too.

Wonder how this would taste with Kahlua? I have never heard of this before but will certainly look for it next trip to the liquor store. Thanks for article and cheers!
