COLOR
The eos lip balm goes on completely clear, but has a slight off-white tint in the packaging.
FORMULA
Since eos stands for evolution of smooth, you would expect something smoothing, right? Right. This balm is not super slick or thick and really does smooth out the lips nicely. It glides on and with proper use, leaves the lips smooth and moisturized for six hours or more. The formula makes it feel like a balm, but it doesn't cake on or slip right off. I truly think this is a perfect moisturizing formula.
SCENT
I purchased my eos lip balm in Summer Fruit- it totally smells like peaches and other summer fruits. They are also available in mint and honeydew, and are very true to their scents. The scent is not overpowering, but does linger on the lips for about thirty minutes after application.
FUNCTIONALITY
I will talk more about the portability aspect in the packaging section, but functionally, these are fabulous. They do not require a finger to apply, and you don't have to twist anything up. I get lots of use out of mine as it is great for night and on the go.
PACKAGING
This is what makes this lip balm so unique- it is in the shape of a sphere. When you first see it, you think it will be a pot of lip gloss. After taking off the lid, you see a little semi-circle of lip balm, the perfect size for gliding on the lips. It is hard to explain without a visual, but it looks unlike any other lip product I have ever seen before. The soft plastic makes it great for being thrown into a purse, and it has a flat bottom so it won't roll around. It is about the size of a clementine, and is packaged wonderfully.
PRICE
eos lip balms retail for about $3, give or take. I think they are well worth it for the amount of product you get and the functionality of it all.
FINAL OPINIONS
If you are suffering from dry, cracked lips and need something portable, eos is definitely the way to go. They are moisturizing, smell good, and solve all portability issues presented by lip balm. I really highly recommend these and will be buying the other flavors shortly. Go eos!
