Episode 6 Recap of the Real World: Cancun

A Recap of the 6th Episode of Real World: Cancun

The Real World Cancun is shaping out to be the sober version of Real World: Las Vegas. Between the somber infidelity and the threats of job loses, this season seems to be a tad boring. Here is what you missed.

Jonna's (the resident diplomat) boyfriend Matt came to visit his little lady out in Cancun to spend sometime with her being that he missed her oh so much. Though it seemed like his main objective to come and visit was to do his thorough investigation to see if Jonna is remaining faithful to him, it was comforting to see a new face on camera being that the current one's are starting to drive some of us nuts.

During his visit, Matty boy has one on one time with CJ, you know, the guy that tried to kiss his girl even after being informed that she had a boyfriend. What does CJ care anyway, he broke up with his girl (more like she broke up with him) after he decided to snuggle up in bed with roomie Emilee, scandalous! And this was on the very first episode, he wasted no time. Anyway, Matt wasn't too chilled at the fact that his girl was put in a compromising position and his level of paranoia went up 3 notches.

Joey during the episode decided to hit up a booty shaking contest at Oasis, hours before reporting to work. While there are some of us that choose to get a good night's rest in the comfort of our own beds before punching in to our 9 to 5's, Joey decided to gear up for work, Cancun style. After downing a load of drinks, Joey eagerly opted to pick up, what Emilee calls, "the stripper" (with the saggy pink bikini) that won the contest took her home and gave her a personal tour of his bed; oh yes he did. This brings Joey bed-rocking total to a perfect 2. Of course that messed with his ability to get up and report to work during his night shift resulting in his star on the show revolving around if whether he would keep his job and stay in the house or lose his position working for Student City and leave the show. We'll revisit this in a minute.

Let's track back to Jonna and her Matt. Remember when Jonna's Matt came to visit and was super paranoid about his girl and her potentially finding a new beau to call honey during her stay in Cancun? Well, his paranoia payed off. Ms. Jonna decided to have a male friend over to keep her company. After giving him a haircut (the new aphrodisiac), Jonna showed her "friend" a good time by accompanying him to the hot tub where she caressed his newly cut locks, cuddled with him on the complimentary room hammock, and later escorted him to her bed where they cuddled for the night; isn't she just the sweetest host?

Matt of course called the following day trying to piece together why his Jonna failed to call him the night before. Apparently, she calls him every night whether she's tired or wasted to say hello and the occasional "I love you". Matt may be smarter than he looks. How does Jonna feel about cuddling with other men that aren't Matt? She doesn't consider it cheating just cuddling, but admits if Matt were to do the same thing to her she would be none too pleased; that Jonna, what a catch.

Back to Joey, during the final moments of the show, we were left in the balance wondering if whether we would be taken out of our miseries and watch Joey leave the Mexican island. Sorry to say, Joey weasels his way out of a tight situation and keeps his job; what a way to get us all hyped up for nothing. No worries, he might have screwed up his promise to report to work in the future, as shown in the previews for next week.

What can we expect on next weeks episode of Real World Cancun?

Judging by the preview, everyone else in the house get to revel in the benefits of drunken nights living in Cancun besides Joey. Even little tiny Jasmine is showing promise to get her a little something, something. Also, Joey just might have screwed up his chances to show his program director, Christina, that he has a strong work ethic. Tune in next week!
