Last July the Equinox Pride Celebration returned to Downtown Cincinnati where it originated years ago. Pride is coming again this July with four days of festivities including a colorful parade with corporate sponsors, festivals in Northern Kentucky and on Fountain Square, as well as many other exciting events. It sounds like a lot of fun, but by presenting the Equinox Cincinnati Pride Festival the organizers hope to do more than just celebrate.
They are committed to a cause spelled out on their website: "The mission of Cincinnati Equinox Pride 2011 is to provide the Greater Cincinnati LGBT community and our allies a forum celebrating and affirming our individuality and importance to the Greater Cincinnati area.." That's a tall order, but their annual celebration will help get their message of Pride to the community. Events will begin on Thursday July 7, 2011. They will end Sunday July 11, 2011 and they will include something for everyone. Here are a few items on their schedule.
