In "Bitten," Jack (Mewes) doesn't have much going for him. His ex-girlfriend uses him and he lives in a tenement plagued by extremely poor conditions. He works as a paramedic during the graveyard shift and has trouble paying his rent for his apartment. For Jack, lacking an active social life or optimistic future, nothing seems to be going well. One day, however, Jack meets Danika (Cox) in an alleyway, bruised and bloody. On her neck are bite marks, though he initially disregards them. Finding the only women he can truly socialize with, Jack quickly falls in love with Danika. Soon, however, he realizes she is not what she seems: she is truly a vampire.
Balancing his love for her and the problem of her being a vampire, Jack is forced to take low-lifes from the street and feed them to Danika. But his problem soon grows out of hand, and Jack, finally facing is problems, is forced to deal with it.
Although "Bitten" is relatively low-budget, the movie does an excellent job at blending black comedy and horror. The gore, to say the least, is not as real as it could be, but it is certainly acceptable. The acting by Erica Cox and Jason Mewes is deserving of praise, especially by the Erica Cox who is relatively unknown in the actor's community. "Bitten" is certainly a great choice of movies to watch if you're looking for a unique horror movie to finish your day.
