Erin Andrews Peephole Video: Chasing Naked

The Art of Bait and Switch

Saul Relative
Do you get the feeling that half of the traffic bouncing from Erin Andrews peephole video story to Erin Andrews peephole video story are people trying to direct the other half to either buy a product or give them a virus? It is not just a feeling; there is a bit of truth to it as well. Just take a look at the comment section on the article, "Erin Andrews Peephole Video: Naked Truth About Her Invaded Privacy." Most of the comments on the article, including all of the ones that have been deleted, are linked to places purporting to give the user access to the elusive Erin Andrews peephole video.

There are few things that have the power to draw the attention of a human being as does the naked human form. And that attraction is taken full advantage of by those that have something to sell or are more than willing to lay virus traps for unsuspecting users. The explosion of interest in the Erin Andrews peephole video story has provided the perfect opportunity for hackers and scam artists to direct internet traffic where they want it.

So it should not be too much of a surprise to see so many comments that are directing users to other sights. Chances are that the reason the user/reader accessed the aforementioned article more for the chance of seeing the peephole video (or at least a few naked photos like those posted in the New York Post) of the attractive blonde sportscaster. The hackers and scam artists know this. And they use it. Since there isn't any access to the video in the article, a quick scan through the comments finds that there are links to the videos.

Or so they think.

And it is that hopeful expectation that takes the user/reader onward to the comment section. A quick scan, then a quick copy-and-paste and they are on their way. If they are lucky, they land on a site that is attempting to sell them something. If not, they pick up some sort of computer virus that might just shut down their computer.

But the Erin Andrews peephole video isn't the only story where this is done. It is done on just about any topic where there exists a multitude of traffic. The practice is perpetrated most often, however, on webpages and articles that mention naked, nude, or some type of sexual visualization.

So the next time you see an article that promises the "Erin Andrews Peephole Video" (or a title featuring some famous celebrity naked, in a swimsuit, or wardrobe malfunction) in the title and you don't find the video (or Erin Andrews naked pictures or even a poor drawing) anywhere in the story, and then you take a quick run through the comments and find that some user has left a URL in the comment directing you to where the video (or photos) are, don't believe it. Fight that hopeful expectation and that prurient curiosity that first directed you to the article. Learn to ignore the comment that promises more or more explicit or bigger or better.

Teach yourself to stop chasing naked...

Because the end result is rarely what is sought or expected.

And the difference is far less frustration. The difference is so much less wasted time or expense. The difference is a computer that still works or still operates as it was meant to operate.

The difference is realization.

It's kind of funny... you peep you get a virus... good enough! I think it is stupid to be so hell bent on seeing a naked form? Have they never seen one before? Everyone's got the same thing.. it's all just an illusion to think one is any more special than another. In the end we all have the same things as everyone else of our same sex. The body might be arranged surgically, and kept in shape... but essentially we all have the same things... so what's the attraction? Does one expect to see something totally alien to another human form?
