New Tablet Can Greatly Decrease PMS Symptoms

Debbie
Dr. Edilberto Rocha Filho and researchers from Federal University Pernambuco, Brazil, state that a pill which contains a blend of essential oils has been demonstrated to greatly decrease symptoms of PMS. Researchers had tested the tablets by conducting a randomized control trial in 120 women

Dr. Filho stated by administering one or two grams of essential fatty acids to patients with PMS had produced a substantial decrease in symptom scores. Also, the dietary supplement did not result in any alterations in total cholesterol in patients evaluated.

Women who had received capsules which contained two grams of a blend of gamma linolenic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid and other polyunsaturated acids along with vitamin E, note great eased PMS symptoms at three and six months after treatment. Only slight negative reactions had been reported and they were mild, of no consequence and did not seem to be a direct association to the medication

Dr. Filho in closing comments on the findings, that the negative effect of PMS on a woman's normal activities and quality of life can be significant. Essential oil capsules have now been demonstrated to hold great promise as a treatment.
