Estee Lauder Color Spectacular Makeup Set

I received the Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' Makeup Set as a Christmas gift from one of my sisters. I have to admit at first I thought it a funny gift for someone who prides herself on going weeks without makeup of any sort. Nevertheless, I have been having a riot with the make-up set and have gotten many compliments.

The Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' Makeup Set comes in a beautiful red satin cosmetic travel case. That in itself would make any lady feel elegant but it does not stop there. Also in the set is a gold make-up case to throw in your purse. For a special occasion you could even use it as a clutch purse - it is plenty big enough for lipstick, compact, keys and other personal items if needed.

Now for the fun stuff, the Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' Makeup Set lives up to its name 'Color Spectacular'. Let's start with 15 colors of eye shadows. A classy black and gold compact hold the eye shadows plus a nice sized mirror and sponge eye shadow applicators.

Next in the Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' set are three eye pencils (great for creating the popular 'smoky eyes'). Also for the eyes the set includes black mascara and 'primer plus' as well as a bottle of eye makeup remover. I will admit I'm not too fond of the mascara but then have been a devoted Mabeline mascara lover for more than half my life.

For even more color, the Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' makeup set also includes a face compact with two colors of blush and a bronzer. The face compact matches the eye shadow compact in black with gold trim (mirror and brush included).

The Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' makeup set does not forget the lips. The set includes four full-sized lipsticks in 'Candy', 'Rose Tea', 'Fig', and 'Tiger Eye'. I am not normally a lipstick wearer (prefer simple gloss) but these colors not only add a great touch but wear nicely also. One of my hang-ups with lipstick is you put it on and a half hour later it's gone - I just don't have time to be 'touching up' every half hour.

To add even more fun to the experience Estee Lauder 'Color Spectacular' makeup set also includes a set of four makeup brushes (for powder, blush, eyes, and lips) and a stand up mirror in the gold color. The set also includes a handy book with instructions on how to get several different looks using the products in the collection.

Overall, I would highly recommend this makeup set to others. Great as a gift of just to pamper yourself a bit. If your not familiar with the story of Estee Lauder the company has been in business for over 60 years the found for whom the company is named encourages teaching the customer how to use the product not simply selling to them.
