Eternal Romance

Darrin A. Yarbrough
In a time long ago, divine travelers smiling child,

Serendipity rent my soul, hair flowing eternal wild.

Meadowlark songbird singing sweet synonyms treat,

In untoward yours truly, found within sagacious seat,

Birdsong sounds ringing warble even distant ears,

Ever swaying impatiently, silences unforeseen fears.

Distant melodies converge-close resemble unity,

Events digging inward from afar, fetched fields

Rounding corners, with entwined tandem purity,

Doe-eyed birdsong whispering mellow...heals.

Content to remain as one we went on many miles,

Time kind...caressing good fortune for a while.

Many Suns set, situation saw saddened songbird fly,

Destined soulful separation sounding angelic reply.

Deep-foundered follies final review found naught,

Left from birdsong symphonies original sound sought.

Equipotent elegance divided counter-pointed trials,

Disillusioned amidst furrowed-brows inverted smile.

Alas!

Even for awhile, solitude transcends foreign stares,

Then when whilst looking least, finding fortunes fare.

In musical magical birdsong winging air upon winds,

Favored finally, from symphonies angelic they send,

A sultry sparrow sounds present saying, "Times repeat."

Illustrating that loves eternal force one cannot defeat.

Eventful cycling of life's true blood, randomly streams,

Untoward elegant yet harmoniously candid daydreams.

Romantic notions bearing forbidden fruit from the vine,

Quintessential eloquence embraces two souls entwined.

Transcending every singular momentary important appeal,

Disclosing omnipresent love only angels of God can reveal.
