Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: An Awesome Romantic-Comedy

This is an extremely original movie. For those of you who loved the Butterfly Effect, and movies that are really different from the norm, check out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Jim Carrey provides a much different role than we are use to. He isn't really the goof-ball "Dumb and Dumber" kind of role that we're use to seeing him in. It really shows that he can be an awesome actor when he takes on these multidimensional characters. If your from Long Island you will also love this movie even more because of the setting being entirely on the island. Some of the best scenes in the movie take place in Montauk and the rest are in Rockville Centre.

Sunshine hits deep with its very original view on relationships. A rough summary without any spoilers would be that Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey go through a rough time in their relationship and try to get their memories erased. Joel (Jim Carrey) regrets doing it half-way through the process and it's a constant battle to avoid losing his memories of Clementine (Kate Winslet). It's a great movie if you're into different sorts of films, but can be pretty weird at times. This movie takes a much more realistic approach to relationships compared to those corny films such as The Notebook. All in all, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a great movie to make you think about different people in your life, next rainy day check it out from Blockbuster.
