Vibrate, lively, vital, these are all words you could use to describe the Brady Street shopping and nightlife. Brady Street stretches from Lake Michigan to the Milwaukee River and has a pulse all its own. Most of Brady Street was built before 1930. These historic buildings host a collection of boutiques, restaurants, and ethnic deli's. Looking for live music and fun nightlife? Throughtout the year the Brady Street Association hosts a varity of events. The events range from dog parades to artisan food fests. Brady Street also boasts a diverse selection of bars and clubs. So whether your interested in people watching, shopping, eating, or clubbing there is something for everyone on Historic Brady Street.

Among the 93 business that run along Brady Street a few of my favorites are:

Out of Solitude Jewelry - 918 E. Brady Street 414-223-3101
An amazing selection of costume jewlery and the more expensive stuff. I found a great silver and cubic ring that looks like a tiara, very unique.

Oxford Art Glass Studio - 1017 E. Brady Street 414-224-7577
I love Tulips, but Tulips are not the subject of many artists. So when I saw a glass Tulip in the front window of this little shop I had to stop! I have never seen anything more gorgeous than a handblown Tulip and at $39.99 I thought it was a steal.

Glorioso Brothers Specialty Foods - 1020 E. Brady Street 414-272-1311
This deli is the reason we made the trek to Brady Street. My husband is Italian/Sicilian and just had to go. I was impressed by the selection of imported, hard-to-find products. I was even more impressed by the quality and taste of their deli meats and fresh cannolis. Try their famous Milwaukee Moufalatta sandwhich.

Dragonfly Vintage Goods and Gifts - 1117 E. Brady Street 414-271-1244
Not your typical resale store, you never know what you'll find at Dragonfly. If your into vintage or just looking for unique styles stop in, fun to shop and reminisce.

Miss Groove Accessories and Apparel - 1224 E Brady Street 414-298-9185
Not for a plus sized woman, but I was impressed by the cute styles. I may have to lose weight just so I can wear the great clothes some of which are made by local designers. They also have name brand purses and accessories.

What a great artical, I want to go there just to shop. It sounds like a place where even movie stars would like to shop. You have a way with your wording that is super. Nice going.

Interesting article! This isn't all that far from me, though, at this time, it might as well be located on the moon. When I have more time and money, I'll have to check it out!
