Etsy Interview with Baronika Designs

My name is Rony and I'm the creator of Baronika Designs. I'm an Israeli artist, I live with my husband and our two children (a 13-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl) in Israel - in a small city called Herzelia, near the Mediterranean Sea -I love the warm weather and being so close to the beach. I have a business degree from an Israeli University, and for many years I worked as a Stockbroker in a large bank, it wasn't a very creative job but it had its good points, but I decided to pursue my dreams, quit my job at the bank and started my own business, so ... I Immediately became a full time seller when I first entered Etsy. I feel blessed waking up every morning, doing what I love in my studio. How and when did you start making jewelry and your other items? I studied art and fashion design in high school and have kepton with it ever since. I create in several mediums, such as polymer clay, ceramic, Glass, sew, silver but my true love is to design jewelry.

When and how did you originally find Etsy?

Completely by accident, I wandered through the Internet and found the magical World of Etsy. In Israel this website is not famous at all. What is unique about Etsy and what about the website do you like the most in regards to your shop? Etsy is special due to its sense of belonging, the Artists Community and the High-class competition. The site is unique because it incorporates thousands of various amazing artists and a lot of unique handicrafts. My favorite thing about the website that regards to my shop is the excitement of International Trade -Sell to customers across the world. The second thing is, of course, the fact that I'm my own boss. I'm happy and proud to be part of such an amazing community, and I hope the international side of Etsy keeps on growing.

What inspires you the most in regards to your creations?

I have always had a passion for colorful and decorative things. Creativity is something that you Born with. It never stops; at any stage in life you have a different source of inspiration. What is your favorite piece you've created and why? Well that is a hard question. It changes every day. I have 2 shops on Etsy, Each one of them have a different style of jewelry.

What do you want to accomplish with your online shop?

I want to become successful enough with my sales to support my family -making a living out of my business - and that is my dream and goal!!

Do you have any new creations in the works? If so, what can shoppers expect to see from you soon?

Yeah, actually, they're going to be significant changes in both shops. Work is now in the process, I am very excited and passionate about it. I hope it would be possible to see the changes within one month.
