My name is Erica and I'm the owner and happy creator of Mostly7. Born in Russia and raised in Louisiana, currently a part time student at the ULM University. Also working as a full time Supervisor at a local IT shop. In love with old style and classic glass beads jewelry.
How and when did you start making jewelry and your other items?
I started creating small pieces about 10 years ago, at first for myself then slowly for friends and co-workers until it slowly became more than just a hobby. That's when I signed up with a famous online venue. Things went well and I gathered lots of friends and customers.
When and how did you originally find Etsy?
In the beginning of this year a customer from my other online venue told me about Etsy. I was absolutely in love from the first moment I saw the home page! It wasn't too long after that Mostly7 was born!
What is unique about Etsy and what about the website do you like the most in regards to your shop?
I love the clean layout Etsy has. It's welcoming and full with talent, simply inspiring. I like the idea to have my own shop within Etsy. It gives me the comfort of sharing and learning while having fun.
What inspires you the most in regards to your creations?
Beautiful glass beads. I like unusual colors and odd shapes. To be able to sit down and start wrapping pieces together at the end of a stressful day relaxes me. I guess what really inspires me is Silence...I see the designs in my head and feel happy putting them together, that rush...
What is your favorite piece you've created and why?
I like all of them, just like a proud mom :) Well if I really have to pick...My White Flower necklace. It's feminine and simple at the same time. I actually created it for myself, for a vacation to Florida because I wanted something bright and barely demanding, something that just says "Joy and Summer"
What do you want to accomplish with your online shop?
First, I want to keep learning. There is so much that I don't know. Second I want to keep creating because that puts me in piece with myself. I would like to build a close knit customer base and find new friends.
Do you have any new creations in the works? If so, what can shoppers expect to see from you soon?
Yes. Many to be honest, but the newest ones are some lovely autumn beads I bought recently and very soon I will have some matching necklaces and earrings that will be in a perfect Golden theme for the season.
Where can readers find out about more information regarding your jewelry and other creations and possible special offers (including additional websites, blogs, facebook, etc)?
