Etsy Review: Twirly Toes Tie Dye Custom Shirts and Other Items

Jen Foreman grew up in a self-proclaimed "hippy house" that had visitors constantly. Each of the visitors brought a new talent and/or craft and one happened to show her how to tie-dye. That was all it took and she has been tie dyeing items ever since. Jen creates her tie dyed wearable art pieces by hand and is able to sell them to customer all around the world through her Etsy business Twirly Toes. Read on to find out my review of her tie dye products and customer service as a whole.

I received two custom tie-dye shirts and here are my in depth reviews on the shirts and overall quality:

Twirly Toes Tie Dyed Custom Shirt in "Rainbow in My Garden"- My youngest daughter choose this design for her tie dye shirt because she loved the flowers and the rainbow. She choose to have a blue sky, green grass, a pink and purple flower and a traditional rainbow colors. She thought that it was very cool that she not only got to choose the design of her tie dye shirt but also the colors that went along with it. The shirt arrived and the colors were vibrant and I was impressed at how well the objects on the shirt were defined though they still had the slightly undefined edges that are always in true tie dye. This custom tie dye shirt was the first time that I had ever seen such specific objects in a tie dye design. The design perfectly matched the example picture from the website and I was very happy with the tie dye work and the colors that we chose.

Twirly Toes Tie Dyed Custom Shirt in "Starlight"- This shirt is a very simple design but it is adorable. My oldest daughter chose a purple and pink background with a yellow star. The colors work really well together and the tie dye work is spot on the design. The colors are very vibrant and blend well into each other. My oldest daughter also really enjoyed the process of visiting the Twirly Toes tie dye website and choosing her design and colors. The Twirly Toes tie dye really gives you the ability to create and customize your unique shirt or whatever you are getting tie dyed.

Overall Tie Dyed Shirt Opinion- My daughters have worn their tie-dye shirts for approximately a month and a half. I have had no problem with the designs bleeding or the color fading during wear or wash. Twirly Toes tie dye includes a card when you receive your shirt that includes the directions for laundering your tie dyed shirt. The only thing I could say is that the shirts do run a little big in size. She did warn me about this prior to ordering so you may want to ask about sizes. The shirts are 100% cotton and the dye is earth friendly. I was extremely impressed with the products I received and the customer service that I received from Twirly Toes tie dye.

That is impressive considering that all of Twirly Toes tie dye shirts are hand tied and hand dipped. These are 100% true tie dyed items and every aspect is done completely by hand.

Twirly Toes will tie dye pretty much anything, with any color, and any design that is possible. Do keep in mind that only cotton items can be tie dyed.
