Pros
Lightweight - The Eureka 437AZ upright vacuum is amazingly light. It is less than 12 pounds (11.4 pounds to be exact). If you want to teach your kids to do some cleaning chores at home this vacuum is an excellent choice. They won't have a hard time maneuvering this vacuum on the carpets, bare floors and stairs. People with back problem would really appreciate it too.
Good suction power - For its size the 437AZ has excellent suction. It can easily suck in dirt, dust and pet hair on hard floor, carpets and rugs.
Adjustable handle - Eureka finally realize that their customers have different body height. People with shorter or taller-than-average body will find it a very useful feature. It makes it easy for them to carry this unit around. Another benefit is that storing this vacuum is easier since the handle can be retracted so you can put it in tight spaces.
HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter included - This is quite a nice addition for the Eureka 437AZ since vacuums with HEPA filters are generally more expensive. HEPA filter can capture more than 99.9% of allergens and fine dust so you can have cleaner air in your home. It is a great feature when you or your family members have asthma, allergy or other respiratory problems.
It's cheap - The price varies greatly between stores but on average you can get it for less than $75. For the quality, the price tag is very reasonable.
Cons
The dirt canister in Eureka 437AZ Optima is rather small. After you clean the living room plus two bedrooms the canister is almost full so you have to empty and clean it along with the filter. Even tough cleaning the dirt canister and filter is easy the process is quite messy. You should note that cleaning the filter regularly is a must if you want the suction remain powerful.
Conclusion
Overall, the Eureka 437AZ Optima lightweight upright vacuum is a good quality vacuum cleaner. It is, however, only recommended when you have a small home or apartment with no more than two bedrooms. Using this bagless vacuum for cleaning a larger home or apartment would mean emptying and cleaning the dirt canister at least twice on each use.
