Eureka Super Electric Broom Review

Laura Hickey
After becoming tired of using a big heavy vacuum to clean up small messes, I started looking to buy a broom and dust pan set. Around the holidays it's not uncommon to see stores like Wal*Mart selling Eureka SuperBroom's for around $10 a piece. After seeing a regular boom and dust pan set costs around $10 also, I decided to check out the electric broom. They come in the colors of red, pink and blue. But these electric brooms aren't meant to replace a regular full power vacuum.

This electric style of a broom isn't hard to assembly. All it requires is a few screws and it's ready to go. The vacuum doesn't need any bags and should be empty out after each use to prevent it from becoming clogged. This product isn't very loud and moves easily over floors and carpet. It easily picks ups most crumbs and small pieces on the floor. Items on the carpet such as pieces of carpet fibers many times need to be picked up first before cleaning along with some food/household items such as popcorn and cotton could end up getting stuck and should be avoided.

Cleaning out the vacuum is easily. Careful pull on the black button upwards to release the case. Then gently over a garbage bin remove the filter and pour the garbage into the bin. Next try to clean out the filter as much as possible. Then put back the filter into the case and make sure the rubber around it is safely molded around the case. Snap the case back into the black button and you're done.

This item is great for say cleaning up hair after giving a haircut in the bathroom. It's also good for cleaning up small messes around the house. It's surprising at times how much this little electric vacuum can pick up. Another good aspect is not worrying if you have or needing to buy bags. The price is affordable and might be good to give a college student to help clean around the dorm room. Of course if there's no electricity, then it can't be used as this product doesn't have a battery backup.

Overall for the price and easiness of this product, you may want to check it at. The only bad aspect is the pin holding the handle and the handle bar came out several times and resulted in putting in a paperclip to hold the two pieces together. Storage is simple as the product doesn't take up much space. Look for this product in Wal*Mart, Kmart and online on Amazon.com. Prices may vary depending on where you shop.
