But I wouldn't have it any other way because without you I'd be lost.
You're the reason I wake up in the morning,
But why did you start to misbehave in the park without any warning?
I don't know what I'd do without you, Euri Bear,
But you showed me what it means to truly care.
You're needy, insatiable, and a heck of a lot of work,
But adopting a dog certainly has its perks.
I use you as my muse and thank you everyday,
For showing me how to live, love, and play.
Though only eight months have gone by since you came into my life,
You've ended a 15 year battle that caused me a lot of strife.
You're just what I needed and you came at the right time,
Your presence is like a song, or a beautiful wind chime.
We went from two to three, and now are a proper family,
Our hearts are filled with love because you gave us back our sanity.
No longer is the dirt our biggest concern at home,
I've changed for the better because of the love you've shown.
So I write this poem for you, little Euri Bear,
A cocker from the EU, one that is very rare.

Very nice poetry
Oh that's wonderful:)
What a wonderful tribute to your love - your dog. I don't know where I would be without my little one who just passed away a month or so ago. I have not written a poem or story for her because the pain is still so raw. Bless you and I wish you years of love and happiness with your fuzzy little friend.
