Eva Longoria Sex Tape? More Likely a Hoax
But is it true? Not likely.
While rumors circulated for 24 hours, sleuths seemed to have uncovered that it is a hoax, that it's an Eva Longoria look-a-like and that Internet pornography suppliers are hoping that naive, titillated sex-seekers will pay for the video download.
Now that it's fairly clear that it's not a Longoria-Parker tape, there are more important questions to consider.
What makes for the most effective scandalous internet-media rumor? There is one driving factor: WHO is involved in them?
Plenty of B-, C- and D-list celebrities have had their moments. The most recent was Vanessa Hudgens of "High School Musical."
What makes the Longoria rumor so big is that she is a network-TV star, as well as a celebrity who hasn't shied from the bright glare of publicity.
Couple that with the fact that her husband, Tony Parker, is a star in his own right, and you have the foundation for a sizzling Web sensation.
The question remains: What exactly are they doing in the video? If it is as steamy as rumors suggest, it could define both their careers.
That is not necessarily a bad thing. With "Desperate Housewives" off to its latest season, this kind of publicity for Longoria can't hurt the show's ratings. And, as Paris Hilton can attest, there's nothing like an illicit video to turn a B-list starlet into an A-list sensation.

if there is a tape..it is really Eva and Tony's business..even if there is a tape..she still has more class in her big toe then Paris Hilton has on her whole body!
Regardless of whether the sex tape is in the public or not, this is between the couple. It isn't anyone else's business.
