Eva Longoria Tony Parker Divorcing? Maybe. Maybe Not

Magnolia Miller
First they were, then they weren't, now, apparently, they are. Eva Longoria and Tony Parker divorcing. That was the headline yesterday on TMZ. Then very quickly, they retracted when Eva's publicist came out swinging and denying the truth of the report. However, this morning? Different story all together again.

You may remember (or not, because you probably don't keep with these things) a story that came out a few years back, that Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria with a French model. At the time it seemed to be one of those "trash the celebrity name for money" scams and it sink as quickly as it rose to the surface of the tabloid world.

However, today, the headlines at People.com say that "Eva was blindsided by Tony's infidelity." Um, yeah, I would think so. Most people don't go into marriage with the idea they will be sharing their significant other with a very in-significant other.

I realize divorce in Hollywood is just well, another divorce in Hollywood. It happens so frequently, that we are pretty jaded and desensitized by it all. But, I was genuinely shocked when I read this for the first time yesterday. Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have been together for a very long time and seemed to be one of those couples who were the real thing.

So, if it is true that Tony stepped out on Eva and now, she is getting ready to file for divorce, that is really too bad. I always got the feeling that these two people sincerely loved each other and were in it for the long haul. But, maybe they can hang in there and work it out.

If not, well, another day and another divorce in Hollywood. Next.
