Evan Almighty Will Kindle the Anger of God

It's a Story that Shows God's Wrath and Intolerance for Sin

Myra Smith
One of the most popular stories in the Bible is the story called "Noah's Ark" or as others may like to refer to it as "The Flood". It's a story that shows God's wrath and intolerance for sin.

One day God looked upon earth and he saw nothing good. Sin was everywhere and the hearts of al men where evil. Then he remembered Noah and his family. Noah was a just man who served and loved God. So God told Noah to build an Ark because he was going to open the windows of heaven and pour out rain upon earth for forty days and forty nights. Nothing and no one outside of the Ark would survive. Noah wanted desperately to save as many people as he could and therefore he began to try and warn people about the great flood that was coming.

In that day was the same as it is today, people were drinking, and marrying, and feasting; just having a grand old time. They as you can guess thought Noah was crazy when he told them that their world as they knew it was about to be wiped away by a flood. They probably thought he was drunk or lost his mind. Either way they just didn't believe that such a thing could happen. No one listened to Noah.

Noah began to build the ark the exact way that God instructed him too. God wanted it a certain width, a certain length, a certain height; he wanted it to have only one window, and rooms that would be able to accommodate the animals. God instructed him to take two of every kind of animal, two of ever kind of fowl of the air, and two of every kind of creeping thing. He was to only take his wife, his daughters and their husbands. Once the Ark was built and everyone was inside God himself shut the door to the Ark.

There is now a movie called Evan Almighty which is a made up rendition of Noah's Ark but its done in a jokingly manner. It basically mocks God. The Story of Noah's Ark not only shows us what happens when you kindle the anger of God, but also it shows how people just did not believe that the world as they knew it was going to end. When they finally realized it, it was too late and they were left begging Noah to let them into the Ark. The same as today the church has been saying for years that God is coming and will destroy this earth and all those that did not worship him. Right now the earth is just as it was in Noah's day and people still don't believe. When they finally will it will be too late.

How can you mock and make fun of God's anger? There are so many things in this world to mock and make fun of why do it to something so sacred. This movie is a total disrespect to God and just because he hasn't cast judgement does not mean he won't. Building the Ark was not an over night process so Noah had plenty of time to tell and continue to warn people, and in the meantime God held off the water. But in his appointed time he let it rain just as he said it would and only the people and animals aboard Noah's Ark survived. God promised that he would never destroy the earth by flood again and created the rainbow as a sign of that promise.

"One Nation Under God" That is apart of our pledge yet we allow people to ignorantly disrespect him. That means we are against him and his wrath will eventually be upon us. It is time that we do not allow the creator of this world to be angered unless we stand to face the consequence of his wrath. Grace&Peace... Myra Smith.

Thanx for your opinion I odn't really care if Moses himself liked the movie. This is just my opinion and everyone in my apostolic church agrees.... Most baptist believe that you can sin thru out the week byt as long as u r in church Sunday morning that God will forgive your sins and heaven will be yours. Nope unless you are baptized in Jesus name and feeled with the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38) Yuo will not enter into heaven. So before you and your God fearing church cast your stones; restudy the bible and began to preach the real gospel and not all this sooth saying man interpreted mumble jumble... Ok... God Bless You......

I have seen the movie, I am a devout christian and I thought it was great. Some of the theology is off, but it is far from mocking God. I think it does an excellent job of taking us through what it must have been like being Noah. Everyone doubting you, including your wife and moving through a very difficult time. I am not sure specifically which part of the movie you found to be mocking, but have you actually watched the movie before casting stones at it? If you do you might find it worth while. My devout baptist mother in law likes, all the pastors at my God fearing church like it. It is a movie that honors the story of Noah's Ark, it doesn't mock it. Try watching something before critizing it.

A useful consumer warning of a razzie-worthy movie.

I haven't seen this movie. Don't think I'm missing much at all.
