Evelyn Salt Halloween Costume

Evelyn Salt is the main character in the movie Salt starring Angelina Jolie. Salt is an American who was orphaned as a child when her parents died in an car accident. She was trained by a Russian who had a whole operation of brainwashing children to do his bidding in the US when they were adults (acts of terrorism). Evelyn Salt may have been a double agent but she came through in the end, seriously kicking some butt. If you enjoyed the movie, you should consider dressing up as Evelyn for Halloween. This article will give you directions on what you need to put together your own Salt outfit. Salt has a few looks in the movie but this article details how to achieve her long dark haired style.

What you need:

Long dark colored wig with bangs (you can find one at a local Halloween superstore that is open during the Halloween season or you can buy online)

Long black coat (similar to the one here but with a little more flair)

Black pants (any will do, try to go for form fitting pants instead of baggy)

Black shirt (while you can use a regular t-shirt, try to opt for something a little more girly at the neckline)

Black belt with gold buckle (since it's just a belt, it doesn't have to be exact, the best part of putting together your own Halloween costume is improvising)

Black eyeliner

Pale pink lip gloss

Black shoes (regular boots or work boots)

Prop gun (optional)

Putting it together:

First, picture Evelyn Salt in your mind; picture everything she went through and what she was willing to do, to get revenge. Now that you are in your kick butt mood, get dressed in your clothing. Pull on your pants and your shirt. Tuck your shirt into your pants and put your belt on. Slip on your jacket and leave it unbuttoned. Put on your shoes and move on to hair.

Next take your wig and carefully put it on. Run your fingers through it if needed to get the straight look you want.
