teaching children how to read and write,
taking care of the elderly,
saving lives,
defending a case,
writing books of poetry,
balancing business accounts, or
creating abstract paintings.
Women are good
for this. Why not?

not.
Oh, but I forgot
I'm THIRTY. I should start
having babies
now---like Monica.
Even now?
Even now where we have
fertility drugs,
life prolonging medications,
high tech computers,
cell phones,
beepers
and rockets into space...
I should
before it's
too
late.
