I figured that was exactly what I needed so I went to check it out. The reason I rushed was because it was free and I got tired of spending my hard earned money on software that wasn't protecting my computer.
Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition claims to have a few years under their belt as far as malware is concerned. And once I loaded it up on my computer, I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm not use to free software actually working but Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition did.
Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition improved my computers performance and efficiency, along with protecting it from malware. It has real-time monitoring, which allows my computer to be under protection while it's running. I get threat alerts in real-time if anything happens to come along and threaten my computer in any way.
Now of course since Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition is free there are a few things that aren't going to happen. Like you aren't going to get 100% protection. you are going to have to pay for the upgrade in protection. There are a few things that get through Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition but they aren't detrimental to my computer safety.
Another feature I appreciate from Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition is the fact that I can actually shop online, as well as deal with my banking information without having to worry about someone keylogging my passwords. I don't have to worry about people stealing my information nor do I have to worry about spyware, Trojans, identity theft, cyber crimes or fraudsters.
If I happen to want to erase my history in my browsers all I have to do is click a button on Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition and I'm clean and clear. I like to erase my history because that is usually what people go after.
Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition has many different features like detecting and removing viruses. It also has Ad-watch live which comes with the basic version. Rootkit Removal also is included but I don't utilize it. I like the customizable smartset, I thought that feature was awesome in within itself. Now the one thing I really like is the pin point scanning and the full integration with Windows security system.
Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition is simple to install on your computer, there isn't a learning curve and much you have to figure out. All you have to do is skim over the interface and that's about it, you have great, free protection.
Lavasoft has done it again with their free software and I'm sure Ad-Aware Free-Anniversary Edition will get better in time.
