Even the Underworld Sings

Lord,
throughout the ages of eternity
I will never forget
the wonder of You.

You stuck your fingers
into the rock so now the bowels
of the Earth
are teeming with life.

The maze of caverns and caves
that criss-cross the underworld
echo with the silent song raised
by a billion winged mice.

    Bats are very beneficial creatures, but I don't want to be around if a billion of them come flying out of a cave. :)
