Guided by the pale moonlight;
Streets bask in a yellow glow;
As I make my way back home;
A bridge across the railroad track;
I look forward, never back;
I hear the whistle of a lonely train;
Tomorrow I'll be here again;
A danger exists, this I know;
Walking the city streets alone;
But I don't worry about such things;
Peace is what this journey brings;
I will be home very soon;
Clouds cast their shadows o'er the moon;
I can hear the church bells chime;
I want to feel like this all the time;
Autumn leaves litter the ground;
There's not another living soul around;
I don't have to wait at the traffic light;
How I love this time of night;
A danger exists, this I know;
Walking the city streets alone;
But I don't worry about such things;
Peace is what this journey brings;
Yes, peace is what this journey brings.
