Event Information for Bikeweek 2010 in Daytona Beach, Florida

The 69th annual Bikeweek events are kicking off today February 26th, 2010 and running through March 7th, 2010. If you plan to be in the Daytona Beach area for the events this week you will want to know the best places to attend for events or get together with other bikers at parties, contests or swap meets. This yearly event held in Daytona Beach, Florida around is an exciting event that brings together bikers, locals and tourists from all over the world to the Volusia County beaches for a week of relaxing and motorcycle themed fun.

The event is bigger than Biketoberfest which is held in Daytona Beach during the first weekend in October and Bikeweek usually attracts 350,000 bikers and biking enthusiasts to Central Florida. The following are a list of events for Bikeweek 2010.

Smiley's Tap -

Smiley's Tap in Ormond Beach is hosting a week long party for bikers and anyone who wants to enjoy an entertaining Bikeweek atmosphere. The party runs all day with Smiley's famous $8.50 BBQ Buffet with all the fixings, rock and country music, an outside beer garden, food, drink and merchandise vendors and nightly bon fires starting at 6PM.

Motorcycle Swap Meet Extravaganza -

This is one of the biggest week long swap meets in Volusia County. Hundreds of vendors will be selling everything imaginable to bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts. I have been to several and you will find everything there from decals to bike parts. You can buy, sell and trade here with various vendors. Live rock and country music daily from local bands along with food, beer and soda vendors will be available. Admission to get in is $5 and the fairgrounds are open from 8AM - 7PM daily. Vendor space is still available either by calling the fairgrounds or visiting the vendor booth.

Froggy's Saloon -

Froggy's Saloon is located in the center of the Bike Week festivities on Main Street. Froggy's offers their famous 20 hour a day party from 7am - 3am for anyone who wants to party and promises The Worlds Largest Biker Bar. Music plays all day from local bands and artists and various souvenir vendors will be set up all over Froggy's. Food and beer specials will be running all week long.

Bruce Rossmeyer Harley Davidson -

Bruce Rossmeyer was a staple at every motorcycle event in the Daytona Beach area and after his tragic death last year many are using this years Bikeweek as a tribute to him. Destination Daytona has more vendors than anywhere else during Bike Week and tons of live bands all week long in the Coca-Cola Pavilion. There will be an on site expo, manufacturers display for various motorcycle companies, retail shops, product sales and installation service, plus full service restaurants and bars on site.

Daytona International Speedway Bikeweek Celebration -

Come to the home of NASCAR racing to watch some of the best motorcycle riders in the industry while spending some time at the infield swap meet. There will be demo rides around the track all day, along with displays and vendors in the infield area. Live entertainment will be playing daily all week long at the new quarter-mile lime rock track in the West lot located outside Turns 1 & 2.
