Well, we were at a church gathering, when my son's friend asked if my son could eat with her family. I said, sure. Soon after that, the friend's mom came up to me and announced that my son was already eating some sweet things, and asked if there was anything he should not eat. I said anything is fine, but not too many sweets, or he will get sick!! I took my son aside and told him that since he'd already had some sweets, he may not eat any more desserts. He agreed to that. I sent him off, hoping that he would obey.
After about 30-45 minutes, an adult came up to me and said, "I just want to let you know how well-behaved your son is..." I thought, "MY SON?!" The lady went on to say that my son's little friend came in with a huge plate of cookies, cakes, and pies, and offered to share with my son. His answer... "No, thank you. My Mommy said that I can't have any more sweets."
WAY to GO! I was very proud that he obeyed in a situation where I would have Never Known!
