Everest-On Approach

On March 17, Indie/Rock group Everest will take the stage as part of Vapor Records' Music Showcase held at the annual SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Known for their hit album Ghost Notes, Everest will perform live at Maggie Mae's in Austin to promote their upcoming album On Approach.

All eleven tracks selected for On Approach are ambitious. If the track in the teaser video is any indication, fans will be delighted to hear the album in its entirety when it is released on April 20. From the heavy rock sounds on "House of 9's" to the sweet, melodic tunes of "Keeping the Score", fans will hear new sounds and styles unlike any previous album from the band.

Recorded at Prairie Sun Recordings in Cotati, California, On Approach showcases collaborative efforts between the band members Russell Pollard, Jason Soda, Joel Graves, Elijah Thomson, and Davey Latter. The making of the album was a drawn-out process for these talented musicians, as they would collaborate on writing during concert tours, arguments, and even happier moments. Compared to the 2-week recording of their previous album, Everest took more time to devote to their upcoming album. On Approach displays a professional growth with Everest, while still showcasing the originality in which the band first became popular for.
