Everett's serves a wide variety of American foods, including seafood, sandwiches, pastas, and a wide selection of steaks, at prices ranging from $10 to $30. Having a friend along to split a meal with helps or be prepared to take some home because the portions are so large. Our server was with us quickly, even though we were in the middle of the lunch rush. He seemed to have no problem with us splitting a meal. We ordered the Cattleman's burger topped with BBQ sauce and shaved Prime Rib along with a baked potato and the Everett's House salad.
The Cattleman's burger usually is served with cheddar cheese as well as BBQ sauce and Prime Rib but due to my milk allergy we asked that it be served without. The salad was brought out before we even had a lull in the conversation and was covered in the Everett's house dressing, a honey Dijon. I usually order the dressing on the side but forgot to ask this time and was in no way disappointed. This salad, made of the normal iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes, was fantastic drenched in their house dressing. I could just imagine using it as a dipping sauce for a variety of things.
Often, when stating you will be splitting a meal, restaurants frown upon this and either bring you the meal on one plate with an extra plate for the other person or do not bring you an extra plate at all. Everett's wants to give you what you want and they give you what you ask for. The Cattleman's burger and baked potato came out on two plates. The burger had been cut in half with us each getting our own full lettuce leaf, and tomato and onion slice. Our baked potato was cut in half horizontally so we each had a full potato boat to eat. We were also each given a pickle. The presentation gave the illusion that we had each ordered our own meal.
The Cattleman's burger and baked potato were so large that even cut in half they were hard to finish yet so good that you kept taking one more bite and one more again. If you haven't had Prime Rib covered in BBQ sauce on a mouth-watering burger then you must stop off of Interstate 70 in Columbia, Missouri, and have one. The entrance is not well marked and the restaurant is somewhat hidden by a hill, but there is plenty of parking and a staff that makes you feel welcome no matter what your age or how your dressed.
