Everyone Should Watch, How Great is Our God, DVD

Jeanne Gibson
Have you ever heard of a substance called laminin? Most of us haven't, but our bodies are full of it.

In this DVD, Louie Giglio manages to give us not only a wonderful sermon on how very much God loves each of us, but also a scientific study of the vastness of the universe.

Using photos taken by the Hubble telescope, a golf ball, and other illustrations, Giglio shows us just how tiny the earth is in comparison to the sun and other stars and planets in the universe. This leads naturally into a discussion of the size of a single human being in comparison to the size of the universe. Pretty humbling, but then the DVD becomes even more amazing.

Giglio relates a meeting with a scientist who asked him if he was going to use laminin in his presentations. Like you and me, Giglio, had never heard of laminin so the scientist sent him a photo of a laminin molecule. He was amazed to see that the laminin was shaped like a cross; the cross that Jesus died on.

Since looking into the subject of laminin, Giglio's treatise on the greatness of God now includes a discussion of the DNA molecule and what its functions are in the body, and, of course, he talks about laminin.

Whether or not the fact that a laminin molecule is shaped like a cross will probably not convince you to rush out and buy this DVD. What might convince you is the fact that it is full of awesome photos sent back from the Hubble Telescope. Just looking at them lets you know that this magnificent creation was no accident. In my book, that's a good reason for taking a peek at, How Great Is Our God.

The reason I really loved this DVD was that along with the magnificent photos, and the interesting format used by Louie Giglio, the viewer is left with sure knowledge that in spite of the enormity of the universe, in spite of the vastness of planet earth, God has still put His stamp on each tiny human being through the amazing DNA molecules and the laminin that holds us together, just as His intelligent design holds together the entire universe.

A bonus CD worth purchasing on its own is also included with the main Disc. It contains the following Christian songs.

1. Remedy - David Crowder Band

2. You Never Let Go - Matt Redman

3. Glory in the Highest - Chris Tomlin

4. On the Road to Beautiful - Charlie Hall

5. How Great Is Our God - Chris Tomlin
