Here's what you'll need. Please feel free to pick and choose items from the list that match your own personal taste and style.
1. Place Holders: On your table you for name place holders you can buy 10-packs of 4th of July sunglasses for kids or for adults for just $10. Use the sunglasses for the names of your guests. Simply tape their name written or typed on a piece of white computer paper to the front of the glasses. Prop the glasses up on the table in front of their place setting and you will have creative and festive place holders!
2. Napkin rings: Using your 4th of July napkins (whether paper or cloth), roll the napkin and then wrap a 4th of July Stars Necklace (60-pack for $10) around the napkin. You'll want to spiral the necklace so that it covers the entire length of the napkin. Once the guests begin eating they can wear their necklace for the rest of the evening.
3. Border for your table cloth. Buy some plain white table cloths at Target. You can choose between two different borders. The first is a Patriotic roll of flags. The other is a roll of plastic flags. I recommend attaching the border to the edge of the tablecloth all the way around prior to putting the tablecloth on. It will add some weight to the tablecloth edges helping it to hang down better and also helping the tablecloth to stay put.
4. Centerpieces: You can get a set of 6 mini Stars & Flags centerpieces for $12.99. They'll be perfect for your table allowing guests to still be able to see each other and carry on conversations. If you want a couple of larger ones you can get a similar Flag Fountain centerpiece for $9.99.
5. Place Settings: The God Bless America kit for $39.99 is gorgeous. It is simply and trendy. Not only does it come with balloons, crepe streamers and curly ribbons, it also comes with 10 dinner plates, 10 dessert plates, all with wavy flags on them, 10 plastic 16-oz cups, 10 forks, spoons & knives. It also includes 20 lunch napkins and 20 dinner napkins with flags on them. That's not all!!! You'll also get confetti, a plastic chip & dip tray with stars/stripes design and a centerpiece and table cloth! It's a GREAT deal for $39.99! There is a similar kit with a Celebrate theme for $39.99 also.
6. Chair Covers: You can purchase patriotic t-shirts for all of your guests at Target as a little gift to them. Take the shirts and put them over the backs of the chairs for a festive chair cover. Then after the party they can change into their new shirt and head to the fireworks!
If you're looking just to buy the actual place settings you can spend $9.99 on the Patriotic Tableware Collection. This includes napkins, cups and plates that you can mix and match to meet your needs.
Whatever size party you are having, whether indoor or outdoor these ideas should work for you! You can order the number you need and then just wait for them to come in the mail or simply go pick them out yourself at your local Target. They have everything you need so you can sit back and enjoy the company!
