Everything You Need to Know About Webkinz Products

What exactly are Webkinz? I am sure many parents are asking this question. Sure their kids have a whole bunch of them, and they try to explain it to you, but you still don't get it! Well, just keep on reading and soon you will be so intrigued that you will have your own Webkinz!

Getting Started:

Webkinz are made by Ganz, so if you see a stuffed animal with a Ganz tag on it, you know Webkinz can't be far off. It all starts when you buy a Webkinz. Regular Webkinz are usually around $15, while Lil Kinz are around $10. The only difference between them is that Lil Kinz are smaller and cheaper. The Webkinz of your choice comes with a little tag, usually around their paw. If you open up this tag, it comes with a code. Go to www.Webkinz.com and click on New Member. (Or log in if you already have a Webkinz account) You will make up a username and password which you must type in every time you log in to Webkinz. Ms. Birdy, the adoption bird, will guide you through your process.

Gifts:

Now that you have an account, the fun can begin! With every Webkinz you adopt, you will receive 2,000 kinz cash. Kinz cash is Webkinz money. With this you can buy things to decorate your room, buy funky clothes for your Webkinz, or you can go to the Webkinz Academy and pay for classes to make your pet smarter and healthier. (Note: kinz cash has no value offline.) You will also receive a free medium size room for your house, and a welcome gift with 3 free exclusive items. Usually, exclusive items are just very interesting furniture.

Merchandise and Feature Codes:

If you have already fallen in love with Webkinz, then you will go CRAZY for what I am going to tell you next. Besides for Webkinz and Lil Kinz, Ganz decided to take it to the next level! They now have many, many, many Webkinz merchandise! They all come with feature codes which unlocks great prizes galore! One of the older ones is Webkinz charms. With a Webkinz charm, you unlock the Magical Charm Forest. Here you can hunt for virtual charms, or win kinz cash, or secret recipe food, and much more. Another common product, are Webkinz trading cards. These are easier to find than most products. If you get a pack of trading cards, you have a chance to win a free Webkinz pet! I actually got lucky when my best friend gave me a pack of trading cards with a free monkey code inside! But note: you only get a code. No stuffed animal. But all packs come with feature codes. You can get up to 4 in a pack. With these you go to the code shop to collect your prizes. (With all products you go to the code shop except if you have a Webkinz or won a free one.) One of the newer Webkinz collectibles are lip gloss and body mist/spray. Same thing, just go to the code shop and enter your feature code. Except here, you win a piece from the Salon room theme! Are you going crazy about all of these products? Well wait there's more! Most people love to read right? So how cool would it be to mark your page with... A WEBKINZ BOOKMARK! Again with the feature code! But after you activate your bookmark, go to your pet's room and in your inventory, you will see a bag. Drag this bag into your room to choose a free book of your choice! Don't worry! Only 2 more! How about a Webkinz mouse pad? The mouse pads never became that big and are very hard to find. But when you unlock them you get a picture to hang up on your pet's wall in their house with the same picture as your mouse pad. The last thing is Webkinz clothes. NO, not virtual clothes, but real clothes to put on your stuffed animal Webkinz! And guess what they come with.... A FEATURE CODE! And with these, you can unlock some super cool pieces of clothes for your virtual pet.

Fun Stuff:

Now, the last thing is the activities you can do on Webkinz. The first thing is the Curio Shop where you can gem hunt and shop for sometimes cheap furniture and clothes, but if you get lucky, you will see a rare item to be bought! Or you can go to the Webkinz Academy to train your pet to excel at Agility courses coming soon. Say you want to connect with someone? You can go to the clubhouse and interact with other people. You can chat using sentences provided by Ganz. You can type in your own words in Kinzchat Plus, but this feature is not up and running yet because they are trying to make it as safe as it can be.
