Evidence Handed Over in Curl Case

NEXT COURT DATE IS JUNE 21: Here's the latest in the case of William Curl, accused of killing NIU student Toni Keller. It's time to revisit this case, which shook this college town around Halloween last year.
Curl, who continues to make his appearances in court via closed-circuit TV, has pleaded not guilty to her murder. Now, the case is continuing with evidence exchanges and Curl's next status report is June 21.
Evidence given to public defender Regina Harris from Clay Campbell, De Kalb country state's attorney, include:
- Witness statements (DVDs)
- Curl's statements (DVDs)
- Grand jury transcripts
- Police reports (notes, etc)
- Death certificate
- Toxicology reports
- DNA (forensics, etc.)
He is still in custody under a $5 million bond.
Meanwhile, in a related story, the Keller family has indeed received some remains they sought so they could hold a memorial service.
