Evite: Online Party Invitations and RSVP Website

Time and Money Saving Website That's Also Easy to Use

Rachel
When planning a party, the host or hostess has many jobs. The first and most important is to decide who will be invited and then send out invitations to all invited guests. While this sounds easy enough, there are still many time consuming tasks involved: go to store, pick out cards, come home, hand write each invitation, address each envelope, go to the post office, pay for postage. Gas and postage prices alone tell me this is no longer the way to go about inviting guests to a party. There is now a much easier and cost effective way to invite your guests.

With the world's affection (or addiction whichever way you look at it), for the Internet it seems the only logical way to go about sending invitations. The website Evite has made this a very simple task.

When you go to the website, you can click on Log In and the first time you will need to register. It is a very quick process and it's free also. Fill out the registration form and click register. Every time you visit the site following the first time you will only be required to log in, which consists of typing in your e-mail and password only.

Evite offers four major services indicated by the colored tabs at the top of the home page: on-line invitations, party planning ideas & tools, e-cards, and a gift center.

The invitations section is where you would go to create and send out invitations for any type of party. There are three steps to create the invitations. First, you need to choose your design. They offer hundreds of on-line invitation designs such as Birthday, 4th of July, Candle Hosting parties, Housewarming, Bridal Shower Invitations and many, many more. Second, you will enter the details of the party such as event title, theme, location, time, etc. You may also choose to include registry and hotel info. Step Three is to add guests and send. You can add guests e-mail addresses manually or import from most major e-mail providers. There is also a section to send a note to your guests to provide them with more information or encourage them to come. In addition, you can set up an e-mail reminder for your party which will be automatically sent out to the guests who are attending.

Once you have sent out your invitations you will be able to view the e-vite and keep track of your RSVPs. When your guests RSVP they can tell you how many are attending from their party and send a note as well. The RSVPs are viewable by all guests and the host. This is nice as people often wonder who else is coming to a party and they won't have to ask you for the info. Evite also offers a feature which allows you to upload your pictures after your event to share with all of those you invited.

The party planning ideas & tools section of Evite provides valuable information and ideas for any type of party. It offers theme ideas such as Girls Movie Night Ideas, Pool Party Ideas, 4th of July Party ideas and many more. There are great tools as well such as party budget estimator, party checklist, drink calculator, upcoming holidays, local places & events, and party menus & recipes. The tools are extremely helpful, for example, the drink calculator will ask you a few questions about your party such as how many are attending and what will be served and gives you a grocery list of alcohols needed to supply the party appropriately.

The e-cards section is the place where you can find hundreds of free e-cards. Send them to the host thanking them for inviting you, send them to your attendees to thank them for gifts, send birthday e-cards, or send them just because you care. There are cards for almost every occasion. There's even a calendar box informing you of any upcoming holidays. These are great for keeping in touch and showing your loved ones that you care.

The gift center links you to a site that helps you to find the perfect gift for anyone. You can search for gifts by gender, age, occasion, or personality. Once you have found the gift you want to purchase it shows you where it can be purchased and links you to that website to purchase directly from the vendor or store. It's simple to use and great for finding the gift for that person who has everything.

The Evite site is easy to use and free. Next time you are throwing a party, consider using Evite and you will save yourself and your guests' time, energy and money.
