The arguments against evolution are many but they all seem to have one thing in common. They never give any proof. Some argue about dates saying things like "Dinosaurs lived only a few thousand years ago" some how that's supposed to upset the whole theory of evolution when in fact it would simply move up the date of dinosaurs extinction. An absurd argument? You bet! Another popular anti evolution argument is the complexity of biological organisms. Again, this proves nothing. Natural selection working over 3 or 4 billion years would have produced nothing but complexity. There is the popular analogy of the tornado blowing through a junk yard and producing a Cesna ready to take off. Again they are being absurd, or perhaps just silly and a little belligerent. It is hard to believe that any one could confuse chemical compounds evolving into cells and than the evolution of cells into successively larger and more complex microbial communities such as our selves with bits of junk, each already adapted to a special purpose some how colliding together and reforming into other bits (highly specialized airplane parts) and than bolting and welding themselves into a cesna.
These kinds of ideas are indicative of the lazy logic employed by the superstitious mind. It doesn't want to do any work, but it wants answers, so it looks to everything from the positions or the stars to some coincidence or a bit of irony to explain the universe. When questioned about its beliefs, it transforms it's self into a slick talking con artist and uses every trick in the book to distort , distract, spin and double talk it's way out of the predicament that it's lazy logic has gotten it into. The junk yard analogy has lazy reason written all over it, but if you want to refute it to laypeople with no knowledge or interest in the subject, than you need to do a lot of work your self. The con artist knows this and stands there making all the noise, smirks, mocking contempt and show craft that they can possibly employ to further frustrate their opponent and push their idea off on an unenlightened public. However there is an easy way to prove evolution
For proof, we need look no further than the vestigial organs commonly found in animals. The horses prehensile upper lip is all that's left of it's taper ancestors short trunk. Just look at a horse eat, as it sorts out the gravel and weeds, the lip spins and gropes like a tentacle. Want a better example? Cetations (Whales and dolphins) have blow holes in the top of their heads to help them take a breath quicker and easier when they surface than if they had nostrils mounted to ward the front of the face. In cetations, The skull has changed. The nasal bones have elongated and the top of the skull has disappeared so that the nasal bones reach backward and meet that occipital region. Near what is now the top of the skull, you can see a large hole which is the blowhole. And, in species where it hasn't disappeared all together, you can see another tiny hole right next to the blowhole. This is all that is left of the second nostril. In other words, it was a nostril but it EVOLVED into a vestige, while the other nostril EVOLVED into a blowhole. Countless other examples exist in nature. Snakes have vestigial legs, which present as tinny little claw tips among the scales, and whales have wrist bones and fingers inside their flippers. As a closing thought, it all boils down to common sense. Common sense is all it takes to make a monkey out of an anti evolutionist.
