EVP Voices of the Dead

Ann-Marie Walker

Are the dead speaking to us? Electronic voice phenomena, otherwise known as EVP, might just provide us with an answer to that question.

Any paranormal investigator will tell you that an EVP has to be one of the most compelling pieces of evidence an investigator can capture. But are these mysterious voices trying to tell us something? Are they the voices of spirits? One may never know for sure, but it would seem that spirits do speak.

Is there anybody here? Would you like to speak to us? What is your name? These are all common questions ask by ghost hunters nationwide. While they may seem like pretty mundane questions, receiving an answer surely is not. Imagine playing back your digital voice recorder, and receiving an answer to one of those questions. While it might be rare to receive such an intriguing response, it does happen. There have been cases where a name heard on an EVP, was traced to a deceased person who at one time occupied the exact location where the EVP was recorded. In other instances it would seem that the words heard on some EVPs might be lending a clue to a spirits intentions, emotions or possibly even their last thoughts or experiences they encountered just prior to their demise.

Follow this LINK to listen to EVPs that were captured on a digital voice recorder. They were taken during an investigation of a private residence. Listen to the ghostly voices and judge for yourself what these spirits are trying to tell us. None of the voices you will hear were heard during the investigation, and only brought to attention when reviewing the recordings taken during the evening's exploration.
