Ex-Bachelor Andrew Firestone Becomes a Dad, Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford Engaged!

Andrew Firestone, the heir to the Firestone industry and ex-bachelor of the popular TV reality show, The Bachelor, has become a dad according to US Magazine and Yahoo News. Firestone and wife, Ivana, welcomed a new baby boy weighing 8 lbs. the morning of March 21, 2009. This is the first baby for the couple, who have been married for a little less than a year. The baby's name is Adam Brooks, named after Firestone's father, Brooks.

This one came as a bit of a surprise because it actually happened more than a month ago and is just now hitting the media. It appears that Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart can keep a private moment secret! According to the Huffington Post, the couple became engaged on Valentine's Day of this year. Ford, 66 popped the question and presented a ring to make the engagement official. Flockhart is 44 and currently stars on the ABC hit drama "Brothers and Sisters".

CNN reports that Jade Goody, reality TV star from "Big Brother" passed away early Sunday, March 22, 2009, losing a battle with cervical cancer. Goody is survived by her husband, Jack Tweed, two sons from a former boyfriend and mother. Goody was remembered for being very outspoken on the reality TV series and was asked to return for "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007. The agreement included that her boyfriend (at the time), Tweed and her mother join her in the house for the show. Goody was 27 years old.

It has been a busy week with news from the entertainment field. We were saddened to learn about Natasha Richardson's skiing accident early in the week. The news of her accident on Monday and death on Wednesday had people in the United States and England in a state of shock. She will be missed dearly!
